How We Rate

Here we’ll tell you where the final product ratings come from, how we determine the best ones, and why our site has the number five in its name.

How do we get a rating?

In individual products we enter product characteristics, opinions of sales experts and fitness instructors, customer reviews, and product ratings on the most reputable marketplaces. A total of 5 different data sources.

The data have different units of measurement and value digit capacity. Therefore, before merging we normalize the value according to the rules of statistics. This allows you to further combine the values obtained for the summary table with the rating indicators.

I am happy to share my opinion on a particular piece of fitness equipment if I have used it in my workouts. I always try to give a detailed description of the possibilities of use, advantages and disadvantages.

Where do we get experts?

For several years we have been forming a base of contacts, which includes fitness trainers, store salespeople, representatives of fitness equipment manufacturers.

Before creating a review, we send them a form to evaluate certain models of equipment. Not everyone can answer quickly and not everyone has had experience using the fitness machines we are reviewing. But we almost always get enough feedback to create expert material.

Why five?

So, we use five types of evaluation and in most reviews we try to give the top five models of equipment of a certain type. Why is that? We try to be as specific as possible. Otherwise, it’s not going to be any help for beginners.
